Invitation to the World Symposium on Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (7-8 May 2026, Niterói, Brazil)

Climate change is one of the most pressing global challenges, requiring innovative and scalable solutions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool in analysing climate data, optimising resource use, and enhancing adaptation strategies. The event aims to bridge the gap between technological innovation and real-world implementation by fostering collaboration, ethical frameworks, and localised applications. We kindly invite faculty, researchers, students, consultants, policy makers, managers, and so on, to discuss the following theme clusters:
Industry 5.0: AI, IoT, robotics, and automation in green manufacturing AI in support of climate models Experiential AI and digital tools in climate change adaptation Policies and institutional frameworks to promote AI Best practices in using AI for energy efficiency and operationsPublic-private partnerships for AI use and technology transfer Measuring the impact of AI in handling climate change AI-enhanced monitoring of extreme climate events and disaster risk managementData-driven climate education and citizen science powered by AIAI-assisted analysis of ocean-atmosphere interactions and teleconnections How to participate
